LAST CHANCE FOR VIEW OF ERIE

This is the last notice for anyone interested in doing the week long trip this summer. As you may recal,l this trip will leave from Ashtubula OH & tour along the shores of Lake Erie up to Dunkirk NY & then go inland in a circle back to Ashtubula. Because the trip is planned for the last week of July we will need to be making the motel reservations during the month of April to ensure that we can get space in the different towns that we will be visiting. In one case, the town has no motel, only B & Bs so we are limited as to the number of teams OR if we get more people interested in the tour, then we will need to change the route slightly to accommodate .

Currently, we have ten teams signed up, and will either start a waiting list, or drop the town with only B & Bs & most probably replace it with a rest day in the town of Titusville. The rest day would allow time for people to visit the Well Museum and /or ride a bike trail down the river & back.

Some of our regulars have not signed up as of yet, so we are holding the final plans until people have a chance to get aboard. That is also a reference to where we will stay in Titusville PA, namely the Caboose Motel, which is aptly named because ALL t he rooms are actual old rolling stock cabooses, which have been remodeled into single rooms with either a king or queen size bed.

I’ll be home around the first of April & will be working during that time on the final details & making the reservations in the different towns, so you have a month to let me know before I make the final plans.
